- Collage Making – This technique involves assembling pre-existing images, making it less intimidating for clients to express emotions and stories visually.
- Clay Sculpture – Working with three-dimensional materials like clay or wood provides a tangible way to process complex emotions and situations.
- Puppet Therapy -Using puppets allows a child to discuss emotions from a safe distance, while mask-making can explore different aspects of their identity.
- Photographic Therapy – Digital media like phototherapy or video-making can help older children or teens review and find meaning in their life stories
- Nature Art Therapy – Utilizing natural resources like leaves, branches, or “story stones” to create art can be a grounding therapeutic exercise
